What is Shower Bidet
The shower bidet is a new concept in personal hygiene which has major advantages over the conventional bidet as it makes use of the toilet pan it self. It can be fitted any wherever required even over a small toilet unit and above all is more hygienic and it does not need dedicated drainage or regular cleaning as is the case with the bidet. It is a real substitute for a bidet as it makes use of the toilet pan and you do not need to move from the pan to use it. It consists of a small shower head, with a lever or a button to be pressed to activate the spray, a shower hose and a tap to connect to. It acts exactly like a garden’s spray; however, the corrugated chrome plated hose is connected to the water circuit via a tap and non-return valves (check valve).
The idea is used widely in many homes in the Middle East, is called Shattaf (washer) also in Portugal, Brazil and the Far East. It is becoming more & more popular in the UK and Ireland as many holiday makers & visitor to those area mentioned have starting to adopt the shower bidet idea and fit beautiful complete systems in their homes. In our system using concealed mixers the waters are mixed manually to a desired temperature and that is achieved by turning on the hot tap to half turn and then adjusting with the cold water to the desired temperature; just as it is done with a normal mixer block. The setting does not need to be changed at all for the whole life of the unit
